Institutional Approvals & Recognitions
At Rochester University, we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of educational quality, regulatory compliance, and student support. As a SEVIS-certified institution authorized by USCIS to enroll international students, we proudly maintain full compliance with federal regulations. Our membership and candidacy status with the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) affirms our commitment to academic excellence and faith-based education, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and CHEA. Additionally, as a private institution operating under a religious exemption in California, Rochester University adheres to the requirements of the California Private Postsecondary Education Act, ensuring we meet the educational standards set forth by the state.
Students are responsible for reading course descriptions when choosing classes for their self-designed major. If they choose a class that requires permission because of prerequisites and/or is a course at another college within Estuidar University and any of the graduate programs, they must seek permission using the proper procedures. Requesting permission is not a guarantee of being granted permission
SEVIS I-20
Rochester University is approved by the Bureau of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to accept and enroll international students and to issue Form I-20 through the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). As a certified and approved institution, Rochester University remains committed to full compliance with SEVIS rules and regulations.
TRACS Candidacy
Rochester University is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) [15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551; Telephone: (434) 525-9539; Email: info@tracs.org]. The university was granted Candidacy as a Category III institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on April 29, 2025. This status is effective from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2029.
TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (ED), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).
BPPE Disclosures
Rochester University is a private institution. As an institution operating under a religious exemption, it is not required to undergo the full approval process by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). However, in accordance with California Education Code § 94897(l), it should be noted that “approval to operate” indicates compliance with state standards as set forth in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 and its related regulations.
